ABOUT H+H SALON
Halo+Hue Salon was started in May, 2022, by owner, Johnathan Watson-Freeman.
Johnathan has been a stylist in the triad for over fifteen years, and has always had a dream of opening a salon in the Winston Salem area. Specifically, a salon that creates an atmosphere for clients to relax and recharge in, all while having an excellent hair experience. Our goal at h+h, is to ensure you always leave feeling amazing and refreshed.
We are a collective group of independent stylist, with our own availability and scheduling. Every stylist at Halo+Hue has years of experience and continue to attend training in every aspect of hair care, including extensions, hair color, cutting styling, and product knowledge.
Halo+Hue is a KEVIN.MURPHY focused hair care salon, a vegan-friendly, cruelty free product line.

Johnathan Watson-Freeman | Owner & Extension Specialist
Johnathan is the owner / lead stylist at Halo+Hue Salon. He grew up right here in the Triad. John received his training at The Cosmetology Institute of Beauty and Science. He became a hair stylist because he loves everything about making people look and feel beautiful. What better way to do that than to enhance their natural beauty? He loves all things cosmetology, but especially enjoys foliage, blonding and extensions. He draws his inspiration for gorgeous hair from following trends and the latest techniques. He hopes that our bright and intimate space can be a relaxing and refreshed time for our guests while feeling comfortable and right at home.
Misty Bolen | Master Stylist
Misty is a master stylist at Halo+Hue Salon. Originally from Kernersville, she received her training at The Cosmetology Institute. After becoming a hair stylist she focused on her training and building relationship’s with her clients. She believes continuing her education through classes and seminars gives her the ability to continue to master her trade. She enjoys all aspects of her career but especially enjoys highlighting and coloring services. Misty has worked with Kevin.Murphy haircare for more than a decade. When she is not working, she enjoys being a mom to her two little ones and spending time with her family. She looks forward to helping you feel like the best version of you!
Casey Kieffer | Master Colorist
Casey is a master colorist here at Halo+Hue Salon. She grew up in Yadkinville, and now lives in Winston-Salem with her husband and two children. She received her training at the Aveda Institute in Charlotte, NC. She enjoys all things hair, but her passion lies with color. Casey enjoys attending hands-on classes to keep up with trends and develop her talents. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family, enjoying fun moments with her kids. She looks forward to working with you, and helping you find the right style for you!
Ethan Walker | Senior Stylist
Ethan Walker is a recent addition to Halo+Hue Salon and is eager to show his range of hair expertise. Originally from Wilkes County, he moved to Winston Salem to pursue a career in the beauty industry. While doing so, he has found a passion for intricate haircutting, especially with shorter hair styles. He works with all hair types and textures. Ethan loves to help clients achieve their ultimate hair goals with extension services. In addition, he offers a variety of hair lightening services, customized colors, grey coverage techniques, and keratin complex treatments. For Ethan, it’s all about helping clients achieve a unique look and feel!
